STORY

Wilburn Law Office, LLC was founded by Ashley Wilburn in Hagerstown, Maryland in 2023 with a straightforward goal: build a law firm where high-quality legal work, candid advice, and genuine respect for clients could coexist with a healthy and sustainable approach to practicing law.

The firm has since grown to include three attorneys and a dedicated support team, with offices in Hagerstown and Cumberland, Maryland and attorneys licensed to practice in Maryland, West Virginia and Pennsylvania (transactional only).

Our growth has expanded both where we practice and how we can help. Today, our attorneys represent clients in family law, estate planning and administration, trusts and long-term-care planning, criminal defense, civil and business matters, guardianships, mediation, and other litigation and court-appointed matters.

Despite that growth, the philosophy behind the firm has remained the same.

Our job is to evaluate a situation objectively, understand the facts, explain the applicable law and legal process, identify both strengths and weaknesses, and give clients the advice they need to make informed decisions—even when that advice is not necessarily what they hoped to hear.

A COLLABORATIVE APPROACH

When Wilburn Law Office accepts a case, the client is not simply hiring one person.

Our attorneys practice independently and bring different experiences and perspectives to their cases, but they also consult with one another when another attorney's experience may help identify an issue or develop a solution. Our legal and administrative staff are integral members of the team and work directly with both attorneys and clients throughout the representation.

That collaborative approach allows us to draw upon the strengths of the entire firm while maintaining individual responsibility for each client's case.

ROOTED IN THE COMMUNITIES WE SERVE

Wilburn Law Office's Hagerstown, Maryland office serves clients throughout Washington County, Frederick County, and surrounding areas.

With the addition of attorney Sarah J. Willetts, the firm also maintains an office in Cumberland, Maryland. Sarah continues to practice primarily from Cumberland, serving Allegany County, Western Maryland, and clients throughout the I-68 corridor into North-Central West Virginia.
